To tie in with their marketing campaign for the launch of downloadable character packs for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Warner Bros instructed Banana Split Productions to re-version their US-specific trailer. Warner Bros Games provided the working files used to create the original US version of the trainer, our challenge was to adapt the content to meet regulations and language requirements in the target countries.

In order to localise the content whilst keeping it authentic to the brand and marketing campaign, we primarily used motion graphics techniques. To begin, we adjusted age ratings to align with the target regional guidelines. We then replaced original artwork with region-specific logos and modified title cards to suit the target audience in individual languages. Additionally, customised character pack title cards were created for different regions. Lastly, we ensured endslate content, including packshot artwork arrangements, was tailored appropriately to resonate with each individual audience.
Our efforts resulted in 39 localised versions of the trailer, tailored for 13 regions. Each version adhered to platform-specific requirements (Sony, Xbox, or agnostic). Through motion graphics wizardry, we successfully made the magic of Lego Star Wars accessible to fans worldwide and improved the visibility of the new character download packs for Warner Bros Games.
