The Temporal Forces campaign is the fifth instalment in a series of advertisements for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It focuses on promoting the latest cards and booster packs within the Scarlet and Violet card series. Banana Split Productions were onboarded with the task to localise various elements, including voice-over work, in-ad 3D card reveals, and endslate arrangements. Additionally, we needed to translate legal information and calls-to-action, replace artwork with region-specific boosters, create retailer logo gardens where necessary, and incorporate language-specific Pokémon logo imagery.

Our team meticulously pieced together the digital building blocks from the original US advertisement. We then localised the content, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance. Specific actions included:
Voice Over and 3D Card Reveals: We adapted voice-overs and localised in-ad card graphics.
Endslate Arrangements: We adjusted the endslate layout to suit each region’s preferences.
Artwork Replacement: Region-specific booster pack artwork replaced the original content.
Retailer Logo Gardens: Versions requiring retailer logos received customised treatments.
Pokémon Logo Imagery: We incorporated language-specific Pokémon logos.

TV-specific versions adhered to broadcast standards, while content tailored for cinema screens ensured an immersive experience. Additionally, we considered safety guidelines, resolution, screen size, and frame rate for mobile platforms. As a result of this localisation and content re-versioning project, the Temporal Forces campaign achieved seamless localisation, making the magic of Pokémon accessible to fans worldwide.
